Mandera County Ministry of Health has this week handed over the Beyond Zero mobile clinic to Mandera East sub-county management team.

The clinic will be stationed at Gadudia, Saro Hindi and Qumbiso sub-locations for a period of one month each before moving to other sub-counties. It is expected to increase immunization coverage, skilled birth attendants and improve general health care service.

The clinic was donated by the First lady Margaret Kenyatta last year through her Beyond Zero campaign program. Speaking during the handover ceremony, health Chief Officer, Ms. Maryam Dubow said that the clinic will prioritize areas that have no static health facilities in the region.
